Alyssa has been a licensed physical therapist since 2008 and has worked in both pediatric and orthopedic settings. She graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in Dance and went on to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at University of Southern California. She has experience working in private practice with pediatric and orthopedic patients ranging from infants to geriatrics, home care providing Early Intervention services to the 0-3 year population, and school districts with preschool through high school students. She performs gross motor and orthotic evaluations, consultations and treatments and has provided trainings for school staff and parents regarding lifting/handling techniques, equipment, and motor development. Alyssa’s experience includes working with a variety of neurologic, genetic, and orthopedic diagnoses including Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Torticollis, Muscle Diseases, Hypotonia, Traumatic Brain Injuries as well as children with vision and hearing impairments.

Alyssa has received further training including adaptive yoga for children, infant massage, pediatric vestibular rehabilitation, sensory integration and neurodevelopmental treatments. She also has a background in teaching dance to children from ages 4-18 which is where her desire to work with the pediatric population developed. Alyssa enjoys working in a team environment and regularly collaborates with Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Behavioral Therapists. She believes families are an integral part of the team to maximize a child’s level of function and independence.

Erin has been a licensed physical therapist with special focus in pediatrics since 2010. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University with her Bachelor of Science in Biology and went on to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She began her practice working on the Traumatic Brain Injury team at a children’s rehabilitation hospital and has since gained experience working within home, school, and clinic settings. She completes evaluations and treatment for children ranging from infants to twenty-one years old with neuromotor impairment including spinal cord and brain injury, stroke, and muscular diseases in addition to treatment of orthopedic injuries and plagiocephaly with torticollis. She has experience working with children with Autism (ASD) requiring behavior plans along with children with visual impairment and a wide variety of congenital conditions and developmental delay including but not limited to cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, spina bifida, and Rett Syndrome.

Erin has always had a passion for working with children, and she strives to maintain current knowledge of scientific literature and continuing education in order to provide the best care possible. She has been a member of the APTA professional organization and has training in handling techniques and neuromuscular facilitation with mentorship in PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) and Mary Massery’s postural control and breathing course, ‘If You Can’t Breathe, You Can’t Function’. She has also gained certification in infant massage and education in adaptive yoga for children with disabilities. She always tries to maintain a fun, playful atmosphere while facilitating improved movement patterns and helping to building every child’s independence and confidence. It is her commitment to help each family support their child’s growth and development through therapeutic play and education tailored to each individual family’s needs.
